You know, I was just about to say that Wes has some advice for these vets on how relevent their veteran status is in relation to political office.

Andrew Horne didn’t lose the primary — he dropped out, endorsing the eventual nominee, corporatist Democrat and Chuck Schumer designee Bruce Lunsford. A real progressive Democrat entered the race but didn’t have time to derail Lunsford’s nomination. If Horne is portraying himself at Netroots Nation as having lost his primary, he needs to be corrected.

Spencer - we’ve also got Eric Massa running against Randy “I don’t have to talk to any anti-war people” Kuhl for NY29. He spent 24 years in the Navy. His capstone military assignment was Special Assistant to General Wes Clark, both in Panama and then when he became Supreme Allied Commander of NATO forces. I served with Wes in Washington DC, Panama, and in the European Theater of Operations. He’s not my guy(I have Mike “It’s ok for me to vote for the compromise bill” Arcuri, unfortunately), but I’ve sent him money for sure. The people of Western NY deserve better than Kuhl.
