A real progressive Democrat entered the race but didn’t have time to derail Lunsford’s nomination. He spent 24 years in the Navy. His capstone military assignment was Special Assistant to <strong>General Wes Clark</strong>, both in Panama and then when he became Supreme Allied Commander of NATO forces. I served with Wes in Washington DC, Panama, and in the European Theater of Operations. He’s not my guy(I have Mike “It’s ok for me to vote for the compromise bill” Arcuri, unfortunately), but I’ve sent him money for sure.
