The goal here isn’t just to have the Yankees win, but to have them win, clear them off the field, clear out all of the coaches and the batboys and the fans and the vendors and the ground crew, build a new Yankee stadium across the street, demolish the old Yankee stadium, and then have the next season’s Yankees win the World Series in their brand-new ballpark. </p> <p>It’s not just that it’s flattering McCain to compare the results of the surge to a monster home run.
