Just yesterday he referenced the ”Iraq/Pakistan border”, yet you didn’t see anyone taking him to task or any journalist who happened to be present correcting him publicly. Corrections reserved for his cohorts, Liarman and Graham. If Obama had said something so mindless and stupid, you can bet McBush’s surrogates would have jumped up and down to alert the media that this was a sign that Obama didn’t have a clue about the ME. Yet somehow, McBush gets by with it, kinda like good old Ronnie used to. Just what this country needs: a combination including only the worst characteristics of both Reagan and Bush Jr. in the WH.

We’re talking about the first country to publish or post their laws, the Code of Hammurabi. Yet we have the nerve to treat them like they have no political expertise at all. Very interesting!

Just now C-span cameras aired Obama’s press conference after the Afghan/Iraq trip. Just as they aired McCains overseas trips. OK so far.
The difference? C-span cut off the sound of all of the questioners. Dozens of reporters from all over the world and we heard nary a one of them.
Versus McCains where every word was clearly shown, and repeated all day -day after day.

Not one of the cable gang are focusing on the Hagle/Obama/Reed press conferences for more than just a minute or two, where on CNN I just heard more of McCains same-o speech.

Excuse me, I understand the ranting, but it may just be displaced. For one thing, the only place I can find a video of a panel called ““FISA: SAFEGUARDING BOTH SECURITY AND FREEDOM” put on by the Center for American Progress. Spencer was one of the panelists for one of the sessions, and I was very impressed with both sessions.

Secondly, my understanding is that while McSame and many other Congressional delegations bring their own press with them, for some reason, Obama has not exactly done that. He is probably being overly sensitive to charges that the whole trip is nothing but a huge photo opportunity, so he’s leaving the documentation of the trip activities to the armed forces. I was really rather pissed about Andrea Mitchell’s bitching about not being able to really verify anything about the tour because “there was no ‘real’ journalist there.” I know that many have said that all the anchors have followed Obama’s trip and each will get their own interview (the first was on Sunday, on Face the Nation, with Lara Logan.) Supposedly, yet to come is an interview with Charlie, Katie, and Brian, but still, who knows why all we’re getting is Armed Forces press reports.
