Let’s show them what we do to collaborators.

Some of us already have. Some of us helped kick Holy Joe out of the party. Some of us got called “traitor” (halfheartedly spoken). But it wasn’t about being Jewish or not Jewish for me, it was about being a woman and a “librul” re: Alito nomination.

Here is Brian Williams recent interview with Iranian President Ahmadinjad

http://www.truveo.com/Full-int.....2782510894

Now here is Aipac’s most recent spin on the Iranian President
http://www.aipac.org/130.asp#14556

It does not matter if you are Jewish or not if you try to stand up to the right wing radical zealots you will be attacked. Vanessa Redgrave experienced this 30 years ago and Professor Norman Finkelstein experienced this more recently.

Or when Professor Norman Finkelstein was denied tenure at DePaul because of his stance on the Israeli Palestinian conflict
http://www.democracynow.org/20.....depaul_end

Micheal Ledeen, Douglas Feith, Paul Wolfowitz, John Bolton, John Hannah, William Luti, David and Liv Wurmser, Paul Brmer etc are not “ignorant”. They knew exactly what they were doing in the push for the invasion of Iraq and the so called “mistakes” in the implementation for stability in Iraq after the invasion. Come on add it up… The false intelligence the dissemination of that false intelligence, the undermining of Kofi Anan and Iaea’s El Baradei, too few troops, protecting oil sites while allowing Iraq’s historical treasures to be looted. Bremer disbanding of the Iraqi army, torture etc etc.

These were not mistakes this is mission accomplished in Iraq. Chaos, death
and the displacement of clsoe to 5 million Iraqi people

Read between the pipelines

I don’t want to be too critical — every convert helps. But we weren’t going to war with Iran, ever. That was smoke. The real deal has always been the sanctions and they are coming and we’re all supposed to feel really grateful that Bush didn’t go nuts again and go to war.

If Sanctions work as well in Iran as they did in Iraq — nevermind. What about the proposition that we let the IAEA do their job? And what if we all clamor for negotiations with Iran, rather than a demand to end enrichment before we negotiate over ending enrichment. How about some honesty from these people in DC!

If Liberal Jews want to continue to help — then demand REAL negotiations and not this circle jerk coming out of Washington for reasons that are more likely related to the Iranian bourse than they are to Iranian nuclear power.

SA:

I’m a non-Jew who has frequently commented in often heated exchanges when this topic comes up. For me, personally, a few years back understanding the overlap between “neoconservative” and the Israel lobby was a kind of skeleton key to understanding our foreign policy. But a few years later, after seeing through FDL how the criminal conspirators of this administration really work (particularly after seeing how Cheney operates, and how a neocon like Scooter Libby was more of a henchman than a mastermind) and after seeing how little notion there is of a “national interest” there is among our political elite, the Jewishness of these many of these guys holds less, though still some, explanatory power. Jews are seemingly ubiquitous in the neocon enterprise because of their high profile in the press and in those propaganda mills we call think tanks; it doesn’t mean, however, that they’re omnipotent.

That all said, I have to chuckle when I see you and others saying things that I would actually consider going too far, even if I might think them. I recall, for example, a couple weeks ago the very sensible left-center M.J. said something to the effect that some Jewish neocons, e.g., Krauthammer and Brooks, don’t really believe any of the non-foreign policy precepts of neoconservatism and would just as soon be Democrats if it got them near power. That’s something I would have been reluctant to say, even if I held that prejudice, because it attributes subjective motivation to them on the basis of their Jewishness without addressing their stated arguments.

Well, that’s my little spiel. I’d like to thank you for your hard work and let you know it’s gratifying to see this kind of spirited fight from you guys at the risk to your own reputations.
