 As readers of Eric Alterman already know, my band The Surge -- described by internet luminary Ezra Klein as "Explosions In The Sky crossed with blogging" -- will be playing at 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 16 at The Delancey, located in the armpit of the Williamsburg Bridge on (where else) Delancey Street between Clinton and Attorney. If I know you and you will be in New York on Saturday, you have no excuse not to attend. Lucky you!

But maybe I don't know you. No excuses, pal: you should still attend. The good news is that since we're on at 8, you have plenty of time to attend to your other Saturday obligations. But I'd argue you should stay after we play, too, since not only is The New York Times playing after us -- featuring fellow Bronx Science Class Of 1998 alum Rebecca Keith on gtr/vox -- but the whole thing becomes a dance party at midnight, just for the fuck of it.
