The Top Chef code has taught me to stand by my dish, but look: is it so wrong to admit when you think your product might have some flaws? Like for instance — I shot a bunch of video in Afghanistan, and I’m no videographer. The resulting videos are admittedly amateurish. I edited the stuff in iMovie and the voiceovers I did sound like a parody of an overearnest NPR correspondent. Still, though, I figure, wouldn’t it be neat if you could see what Afghanistan looks like? In that spirit, here’s a video of Kabul:

These videos are like a drug. I want more. I wish you had like a thousand of them. It’s so hard to get real first person perspectives on the action in Afghanistan, at least for me (sitting here almost in the dead center of the United States).
