Please do not ask me to "connect with you" on LinkedIn. Many many years ago, a Lebanese financier and would-be-Chalabi named Ziad Abdelnour — hey, wonder how he’s doing what with the meltdown and such — sent me an invite to LinkedIn after I wrote a piece about him. I have regretted joining that fourth-tier social networking site ever since, and if I could be bothered to figure out how to delete my account, I would. You may have noticed me ignoring your connection requests; that will not change. It doesn’t mean I have something against you, although it’s quite possible that I do. If you think we’ve got personal problems, it’s best to contact me about them directly, since all you should assume from an unrequited LinkedIn connection request is that I am uninterested in Linking In.

Sounds like LinkedIn is harder to drop than Facebook. Figures!!
are you getting spammed by Palin or melanie morgan?
I am thinking Max Boot or the Kagan family.
You can LinkIn but you can never LinkOut
You can sort of delete your account–I had to do it once when I accidentally spammed everyone I’ve ever emailed with invites. If you’re logged in, at the top of the screen where it says “Account & Settings,” one of the choices is “Close Your Account” which I know isn’t the same as deleting it from there altogether but it’s something.
Actually, they’ve turned down my requests…
Thanks (more than you’ll ever know), I’m trying this now.
