repeat the endlessly repeated lie about what Iranian President Ahamadinejad allegedly said about Israel. Barbara Slavin allowed a caller to repeat that lie and then repeated the lie herself. How many times have we heard this lie repeated that the Iranian President said “wipe Israel off the map”. How many times have we heard moderators allow people to get away with repeating these inaccurate statements

Professor Juan Cole as well as others have interpreted what the Iranian President said which is “Israel will vanish from the pages of time” A far cry from ‘wiping Israel off the map”

Terri Gross’s guest today even repeated the correct translation and Terri almost immediately repeated the inaccurate line. Talk about revising a statement to suit ones agenda.

I hear far more aggressive and inflammatory statements coming out of the individuals who lied our nation into Iraq about Iran than coming out of Iran. Far more aggressive and inflammatory rhetoric coming from the leaders in Israel the last four years. Tonight on Hardball one of the pundits (in reference to Palin) said “how can she possibly consider holding the office of V.P. when she would not be able to find the office”

McCain and Palin were getting beat up damn bad on Olberman’s Countdown and Hardball tonight. McCain for his rash decisions and comments about firing Cox, no debate, blowing Letterman off and then appearing on Couric’s.

Howard Fineman said that “instead of calming he (McCain) had inflamed the situation in D.C.” Fineman went onto say that McCain had “set himself up”

Chris Hayes from the Nation really ripped it up on Olberman’s. Hayes said that the McCain campaign was had “wagered on the stupidity of the American voter” by selecting Palin. Hayes went onto say that the McCain campaign “was groping around in the dark”

Oh lord I’m sorry but I just can’t stand the sound of her voice. I tried to watch the video but got so irritated by not even ten seconds in I couldn’t watch anymore.
