With Spence taking a little religiously mandated sabbatical (just for a day, no worries) I’ve returned to Attackerman to fill a little space.

To celebrate my return, I’m running something heartening (not my norm, as anyone that was reading last time I guested can attest). Turns out, Sheriffs with heart aren’t only in the movies.

Cook County (Chicago) Sheriff, Thomas Dart, announced this week that he’s refusing to carry out evictions because “of the growing number of evictions that involve renters – most of whom are dutifully paying their rent every month, only to later learn their landlord has fallen behind on mortgage payments and the building has gone into foreclosure.”

Dart says that foreclosures have almost tripled in the last 2 years…
