If the incident turns out to be a hoax, Senator McCain’s quest for the presidency is over, forever linked to race-baiting.
– John Moody, Fox News vice president, October 23, 2008
Police sources tell KDKA that a campaign worker has now confessed to making up a story that a mugger attacked her and cut the letter "B" in her face after seeing her McCain bumper sticker.

Ashley Todd is a very stupid 20-year old kid who’s revealed a real ugliness within. Remember how she described her non-existent assailant: "…a dark-skinned black man, 6 feet 4 inches tall, 200 pounds with a medium build, short black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing dark colored jeans, a black undershirt and black shoes." Because is there any other way to describe a shadowy threat lurking around your corner? What, no keffiyeh?
Is this really how you wanted to win the White House, Mr. McCain?

Exactly, Spencer, this is exactly how McCain envisioned it would go when he fathered this girl 21 years ago during a drunken binge. He probably threatened to cut off her support payments unless she followed his plan. Don’t be surprised when he has his henchmen drop her into a lake now that she’s not useful.
Lotta sick assholes walking around, each with an opinion. Is McCain their keeper?
.
Hey, FOX’s Moody called the turn, Macaquerman. And the local College Republicans were only too happy to pimp her story to every national news outlet they could find.
I understand what kind of shit this is and how damaging it is to humanity, and, being exposed, how damaging it will be to the McCain campaign. That some Republicans were stupid and lowdown enough to run with it not surprising.
What concerns me is any reflexive attempt to pin this donkey’s tale to McCain.
True, and on the other side of this statement from John Moody is his saying that if it were true, many Americans would question Barack Obama and his background. The point is, don’t look to Fox News for intellectual inquiry.
This doesn’t really reflect on McCain, even if his campaign has race-baited a number of times before. It does reflect on Matt Drudge and the other right wing bloggers who pimped this story particularly because of the incindiary racial implications.
One can only hope that for the first time FOX was correct!
