DoD Identifies Marine Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Cpl. Aaron M. Allen, 24, of Buellton, Calif., died Nov. 14 while supporting combat operations in Anbar province, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, Calif.

That struck me too. Also, I’ve been through Buellton before. Two hours north of LA on the 101. Just a small town right off the highway. Looked like it could have been right out of the 50’s(This was earlier this decade).
