You know that Flamin’-Hot-Cheetos-drive-me-crazy story from NPR? The one that was an awesome internet meme a while ago? Well, a similar burst of temporary insanity appears to have afflicted Sen. Arlen Specter, who recently called the FISA telecom-immunity provisions that he voted for twice a “festering wound.”
Absent an explanation, the ACLU is noticing the bright-red Cheeto dust of hypocrisy on Specter’s fingers. Here’s Amanda Simon writing an open letter to Specter on the ACLU’s blog:
We are perplexed but also gladdened at your recent change of heart. And may we share this exciting news with you? It is within your very power to reverse this provision which so offends you. You, sir, can begin to heal this festering wound!
Seriously, Senator. Put the Cheeto bag down. You’re a little hyper at the moment. We can solve this.

Specter is a “festering wound” on Pennsylvania. Almost as bad as Santorum.
I forgot to add, they don’t call him Scottish Haggis, or Snarlin’ Arlen for nothing.
You know Specter may actually believe what he is saying, but he seems to do that alot. Make noise about something but then go ahead and vote for it anyway. When it’s time to back up the talk, Specter is no where to be found. This is different I know, he seems to be forgetting what he actually did earlier.
AS soon as Spectre speaks up, Cheney calls him and starts reading from his 2000 Veep vetting file. Then Spectre shuts up. Remember, Cheney vetted the largest Veep field ever, with the most intrusive process ever. Do you think he shredded those files once he took the job himself?
Spectre is all Liberty Bell, no clapper.
yes .. specter is a good example of the repubbie party’s ormal mode of “say one thing-do another .. ” but what has ‘em running scarde now is all these toools they crafted to be used by george bush will now be weilded by a democratic preznint … whoa … skeery indeed eh ??
