Speaking of war crimes, Ruth Marcus says to get over it, since the best way to prevent future war crimes is not to punish current war criminals. Glenn Greenwald is to this column what Charles Graner was to Abu Ghraib.

You kinda have a point here. If Reagan had been imprisoned for the breathtaking lawlessness and murderous intent of his administrations’ Central American wars, maybe the rather pale imitation of this current administration might have been prevented.
If Nixon had died in jail, none of this would have ever happened.
Empty the jails and prisons!
The best way to prevent crimes is not to punish criminals. Maybe we should give money awards to lawbreakers. Or gift cards good for 70 meals of human bodies.
The word hypocrisy must be retired from the language. It no longer has any meaning.
To keep the prison guards employed, we can just do something like jury duty and draft those citizens who have never had a criminal charge against them to serve for their country.
If punishments are outlawed, only…. something?
Isn’t Ruth Marcus the same clown that recently wrote a column saying how having Caroline Kennedy in the Senate would revive her feelings for Camelot? Or some such clap-trap.
