Deicide is a funny thing. Let’s say your entire religion is predicated on the persecution and murder of a certain figure. Nothing in the deliverance of said figure’s message is compelling without his passion-play. Would you be inclined to turn to the cohort that allegedly killed this figure and say a) "I shalt now persecute you across the edges of the earth for two thousand years, including intensifying digressions into genocidal rage, which in turn accellerate the need to give you a plot of land of your own on which to oppress others in the name of cosmic irony and human nature" or b) "You know what, pimp? We couldn’t have gotten this whole shit started if it wasn’t for your efforts here. Time heals all wounds. I shalt not hate, I shalt collaborate." When put like that, the answer is pretty clear, isn’t it?
If you feel a bit guilty this holiday season when you open your presents, Katie Halper has your way to show the Jew in your life that you appreciate him or her giving you the greatest gift of all. It’s the Thank You For Christmas card. Who knows? Maybe if you stop being so un-Christian about the whole killing-the-Lord-and-Savior-so-he-could-become-the-L0rd-and-Savior episode, you might get some uncoerced admissions of guilt.

Congrats, Spencer on an opening sentence expressing a unique sensibility.
Isn’t this really a Good Friday topic, rather than a Christmas one?
As they pointed out in The Bugle, technically speaking, Jesus was guilty and that was the punishment at the time. Just saying.
Who’d have thought that Jews would end up getting scapegoated for something ?
