For those in the DC area, I’ll be on our local CBS affiliate this morning, sometime during the 10 a.m. hour, promoting Journopalooza, Friday night’s media-heavy battle of the bands that you should please buy a ticket for on our website before it sells out. Later on I’ll be talking Panetta with Rachel Maddow for her awesome radio show. Since I don’t know when exactly that interview will air, you should just listen to her show all the time, just like you should watch her TV show all the time.

Update: Now this was some shit! Christina, my friend and Journopalooza promoter, told me to be ready by 9 so she could pick me up and drive us to the Wisconsin Ave studio, where we had to arrive by 9:45. Only when I reached her at 9, she frantically informed me that the producers called her and asked where the fuck we were, since we actually had to be there by 8:45, as the show doesn’t run past 10. Somehow, in the freezing rain, we managed to be there by 9:40. I was convinced they were going to tell us to get fucked — and would be within their rights to, no question — but it turns out that a spare 10-15 minutes is an eternity in local-news time, so I did a three minute segment close to the bottom of the show. In Doc Martens, jeans and my tattoos peeking out. Somehow I managed to screw up the name of our beneficiaries, the Committee to Project Journalists, and stumbled when trying to pronounce Suspicious Package. Big shout to Mike, Bill and Vince at WUSA-9. You’re getting songs dedicated to you on Friday.
