Speaking of Cheney’s “essence”, you know, he can’t be as evil as everyone says he is.
I know this because if I was as evil as everyone says Cheney is, I’d be dropping a bombshell in these exit interviews that would ensure my legacy of oh-wtf-worse-could-he-do was secured for all time.

Like announcing that over the past 8 years I had been anonymously donating sperm at random sperm banks throughout the country and that to date I had received confirmations that over 140 of my offspring had been born and that I expected many times more based on the scale of my donations.

Then I’d look down the barrel of the camera, ask with a little smile “you think this ends here? I’ll be back” pull off my shirt mike, drop it on the floor and walk out of the interview.

Evil’s a different class than just bad, people.

Dick Cheney probably wouldn’t publicly release his lunch menu and certainly not visitor logs to his residence or individuals he consults on legislation. While Dick doesn’t deny compliant members of the media interviews, what makes you think he wouldn’t deny Mr. Hayes his essence?
