The note he goes out on is quite a banal one: if Obama governs successfully, it will be good for liberalism; if not, it won’t. My God, it’s Broderism! It’s good that he’s getting out, lest he fall victim to a creeping… intellectual… Finlandization. Luckily, the fever swamps have just the right cure.
