I boxed myself into a corner years ago when I decided, as a personal challenge to myself, I would only use lyrics as headlines for my posts. It’s a stupid, stupid unforced error, one that reduces my traffic — Google bots don’t have any idea what I’m writing about, putting an obstacle in the way of someone who might search for something I’ve written — and leaves me wracking my brain to conjure up a lyric with a reasonable-enough degree of relevance to my subject matter. This makes me a slower blogger than I would otherwise be. But people like it; they expect it of me at this point; and I am not ready to admit that this experiment was in error. Sometimes I put myself in circumstances just so I have an excuse to use a favored lyric

However. Adam Serwer at Tapped has just beaten me at my own game. I am man enough to admit that.
