Am I crazy or is Robert Gibbs daring Dick Cheney to keep denouncing the Obama administration? Clip via ThinkProgress:
I think the president saw over the past seven-plus years the delay in bringing the very people to justice that committed terrorist acts on this soil and on foreign soil. That delay in seeking swift and certain justice was what he decided to change in his executive order by changing the legal architecture with which these terrorists would finally be brought to justice. I think the American people will, in this administration, see those actors brought to the swift and certain justice that was not brought to them in the previous administration.
If you served in the Obama administration, you’d probably want a loathed and unlamented former Bush official — one with a 60 percent disapproval rating, according to Polling Report — as the go-to guy to criticize you on foreign policy. Lord knows the rest of the GOP isn’t so eager to take the Obama administration on. Could there be a more counterproductive messenger for conservatives here?

Cheney is an excellent foil to elevate, being such a repugnant, monstrous, and despised scumbag. Besides, at least since that super-lame DNC billboard, bashing Rush Limbaugh is pretty passé.
Elevate Cheney? And where would you find that lengthy a spoon?
You mean a plunger?
At no time, anywhere on any FDL site, would I use that word for fear of causing twenty pages of conspiracy to appear.
Life imitates art?
It’s certainly a more fitting job for him than the one he last held.
