I don’t know Amanda Terkel very well — our paths didn’t cross as much as I would have liked when this blog was hosted by the ThinkProgress crew, though she has been kind enough to grace a few Flophouse parties — but what I know I like. She possesses an enviable ability to process and contextualize information with extreme rapidity and to write in a way that skewers hypocrites with their own words. Recently she turned her sights on Bill O’Reilly. As a result, this weekend a Fox News producer followed her and a friend to a vacation spot to ambush Terkel Inside Edition-style. Here’s how she summed up her attitude after the experience:

O’Reilly should offer an apology/explanation of why, when a woman is raped and murdered, it’s relevant what she was wearing or how much she was drinking. O’Reilly never asked me for a statement nor invited me on his show before sending Watters to harass me. Since I’m a 5 ft, 100 pound woman with an opinion that he doesn’t like, perhaps O’Reilly believes I deserve to be treated this way.

Update: If O’Reilly thought that Amanda Terkel wasn’t going to birddog the shit out of him after stalking her, I’ll buy him his next falafel.
