Wow that was a wretched tax burden. I’ll stop complaining. That was it, I promise.
Hey, would you look at that: President Obama is in Baghdad. As I’m just settling into my desk, I’ve got nothing insightful to say, and await the transcript of his remarks. But this, from the New York Times, is an interesting account of Obama’s discussion with Turkish college students earlier today:
His remarks came in answer to a question from a student who asked him if he was more like President Bush in substance than he liked to admit.
“Moving the ship of state is a slow process,” Mr. Obama said. “States are like big tankers. They’re not like speedboats.”
I’m conflicted about this myself and will probably say more when I have something clear to say. Until then, I just want to know if the press corps was served turkey.
