Or maybe it won’t take so long. The Senate just voted 73-17 to close debate on Chris Hill’s nomination to become U.S. ambassador to Iraq. Sam Brownback presented his case against Hill and said that he’d introduce his bill to reintroduce sanctions against North Korea tomorrow, alongside the final vote on Hill. Barring some act of the Almighty, Hill will be on his way to Baghdad shortly.

That headline’s not a lyric, dude.
There was a quick post last week where he admitted the error of his ways and explained why he would not strain things trying to come up with a lyric for each and every post.
Oh, I missed that. Saw the early speculation and request for input, but didn’t see that a decision had been reached. Good.
But it would be funny if this WAS a lyric, somehow, wouldn’t it?
Good news all around, anyway.
It has been wisely suggested to me that my band can just write songs with titles like “Cloture Is Clotured For Chris Hill.” Though now that I read that back, it scans better as “Cloture Is Clotured For CHRISTOPHER Hill.”
