Speaking of Memorial Day, if you haven’t checked out the Map of the Fallen, do so. It links death location (by city) in Iraq and Afghanistan with the individual’s hometown. I was privileged to consult with creator and Google employee Sean Askay last week prior to going public during a visit at Fort Leavenworth. He even let me adjust some of the location data on where two soldiers in my company died. He’s done a fantastic job creating a site that is both respectful and informative. Check it out if you have Google Earth 5.0.

This is off-topic, but I haven’t seen any commentary from liberal bloggers on General Casey’s statement that the US is going to be in Iraq for ten years. I have a post up with a link to the announcement and a rundown of the blogs that have ignored his announcement.
