You know that scene in Old School where Will Ferrell debates James Carville and then someone congratulates him on a surprisingly eloquent performance and he’s like, What happened? I must have blacked out…? That’s how I felt reading this nearly-two-year-old post I wrote for TPM about former Duke Cunningham bagman and possible U.S. intelligence asset Thomas Kontogiannis. Josh linked to it on TPM today — Tommy K is back in the news — and I read through it without any recollection that I wrote it. At all. I still don’t understand the Tommy K saga and I covered it for months. But damn is this post long, and it might as well have been written by a stranger for all I remember about it.
