Given the current makeup of the SCOTUS,how do you hold the hope that they will “force” obama to reverse w’s (cheney’s) policies? That is just dreaming.

But really, all the movies show ‘real’ reporters drink scotch and “eat” Marlboroughs. I believe cheap food is in the genre.

Jane Mayer’s piece in the New Yorker on Panetta is an excellent overview of just where the current state of play is right now.

I have an off-the-wall theory about Obama’s seeming to take up the defense of all the Bush/Cheney left-overs, and it is simply that he is defending everything assuming that on some critical issues, the courts are going to come down with contrary opinions. This would force him to comply with the orders of the courts — and that would relieve him of any responsibility for the political spillage. I can’t point to a particular part of Mayer’s piece that supports this theory — but the whole effect was of that color.

I suspect there is some sort of jealousy factor behind the MSM’s over concern with what bloggers wear and eat while blogging. After all, they are limited to the selection in the corporate snack room machines, and the usual bad stale coffee, Whereas we can freely create and re-create our own dress and consumption codes. I suspect they are particularly jealous of the fact that so many bloggers either have cats stretched out next to keyboards, or share space with loyal doggies editors, who critically agree with all content ideas.

Trail mix with some chocolate bits is doable. Geez, I have always hated Mountain Dew and I haven’t had any Domino’s pizza in probably 25 + years (long before blogging).

Interestingly, I borrowed an album (a CD) from the library and one song, Clouds, has a neat line where it mentions the sun and requests that it ‘come out and do the dew again’. I now wonder if that’s where the ad campaign line “Do the Dew” comes from.

I prefer diet green tea, iced Lipton tea, lemonade, Sierra Mist, root beer or Dr. Pepper when I have a soft drink.

A friend of Brennan’s from his C.I.A. days complained to me, “After a few Cheeto-eating people in the basement working in their underwear who write blogs voiced objections to Brennan, the Obama Administration pulled his name at the first sign of smoke, and then ruled out a whole class of people: anyone who had been at the agency during the past ten years couldn’t pass the blogger test.”

OK, at least if a blogger actually had Cheetos in his/her possession, he/she would probably be eating them.

If an interrogator had Cheetos in his/her possession, then they are probably channeling the dreaded Chester Cheez and shoving them up someone’s nose or throwing them in the laundry or forcing someone else to eat them.

so there. Same to you, antibloggers, and more of it.

Agreed ! Perhaps that’s why BO is kissing up to the Agency … so they cover his ass and their own ?

ABC Juice is great - 3 apples, 2 Carrots and half a Beet.

Not that you prolly grow them but Pineapple and Honeydew, juiced, comes out like Pina Colada …

I’m 2 hrs south of Chicago, still within it’s pizza sphere of influence. Domino’s would be a pretty poor substitute for food worth eating under any circumstances.
