According to Ha’aretz, that’s a familiar sentiment to Benjamin Netanyahu, except his version involves making allegience to his agenda the criterion for tribal solidarity:

I love this shit. Something like three-quarters of American Jewish voters in November cast their ballots for Obama. Are we self-hating Jews too, asshole? What would your explanation be for how so many of us are in the throes of a false consciousness? Seeing major American Jewish "leaders" push this kind of ethnic-anxiety bullshit is disgraceful enough. Watching the Prime Minister of Israel do it is an order of magnitude beyond. Bibi, we’re not self-hating; we just hate you.

I think in Netanyahu’s score card, in order to be a Jew, you have to be shaking the pompoms for Israel 24-7. If you don’t, or have any questions about what they do and how they do it, then you aren’t a Jew. He confuses being a Zionist with being a Jew. I’m not passing in my membership card on that one yet.
Actually, consult your membership card’s accompanying rulebook. 24/7 Zionism falls under Jew Regulation 84(a) subsections i through iv. But in recent years it’s come under dispute, since, among other reasons, the Sabbath arguably mandates at least one day of rest from active Zionism. Rabbis are still debating.
