You should also check out Bill Roggio’s post about how Pakistani military leaders are backing away from launching a counterinsurgency effort in the tribal areas — or really any significant ground re-incursion at all. They’re apparently looking more to an air-strike-and-artillery heavy "punitive" campaign. And they think they’ll beat the Taliban by decapitating it.
