Addie Stan went to the DC premiere of In The Loop and emerged with key details from the afterparty:
In the crowded back room, we stumbled upon Spencer Ackerman, the national security reporter for the Washington Independent, who served as an adviser on the film. Ackerman was the best-dressed man in the room, sporting a white shirt and a natty tie. But then again, he’s a native New Yorker; he just can’t help it.
Interestingly, I thought "natty" meant the exact opposite of what it does. That was indeed a beautiful tie. City of London is unfortunately sold out of it, so you’ll just have to watch me stunt on you.

Film looks really interesting. Do you think it will show up in “middle America”, places like San Antonio? Maybe Austin.
And where is the link to the pic of you in the natty tie?
Last q: do you have to get BBC America to see those comedies? I thought I knew most/all of them shown in the States, but don’t recognize a single one you list.
Unfortunately, I don’t know where In The Loop is playing. If it goes to Austin, this is the sort of movie the Alamo Drafthouse was invented for.
Sadly I have no picture. But maybe I’ll take one in the future? Would people care about something like that?
BBC America: It’s been forever since I’ve seen it. I like to BitTorrent a whole bunch of BritComs. Some are on Hulu so you don’t have to
stealdownload them.would people want to see a picture of you in your natty tie? Well, sure, if you’re gonna write about the tie, you gotta show the tie.
You know, kinda like (was it Chekhov who said it?) “if you show a rifle over the mantel in Act One, it has to get used by Act III>” Or something like that.
Thanks for the hulu tip – I never seem to think about that when I’m bored and looking for something to watch. ; )
