In the course of a great post filleting the Democratic Congress for larding the defense budget, Jason Sigger has this LOLerskatering line:

DefenseNews is reporting that Congress wants to use money that would go to purchasing Hueys and Cobras for the Marine Corps for the alternative JSF engine that DoD has already stated it doesn’t want and doesn’t need. It makes you wonder if the DoD shouldn’t be examining the threat that Congress poses to its abilities to fight on the battlefield in this QDR.

Since that won’t ever ever happen, may I make a suggestion to the fine Quadrennial Defense Review drafters who may or may not read this blog: You need to start an anonymous blog devoted to some real-talk taboo-busting defense analysis. Call it Too Hot For QDR. Come to think of it, I’d like to gather a platoon over the course of the next few months to write a series of Too Hot For QDR posts over at Attackerman. Contribute anonymously if you like. Consider this your barstool or poker hole. You know how to reach me: sackerman-at-washingtonindependent-dot-com.
