I don’t think the question now is who is selected to replace him, but rather, are the dynamics of what Mehsud did to achieve leadership now likely to splinter the movement. There are lots of Tribal Leaders in the FATA who had Fathers. Uncles, and Brothers killed as Mehsud consolidated power — and who will see his death as opportunity for revenge.
