Nations become empires as a reflection of their cultural values, often as a reflection of their least admirable values; America wants to intervene in other countries(no denying it), the only question is whether we do so to reduce them to a swirling mess(Somalia), an exploitable dependency(Banana Republics, Mississippi), or better neighbors(former Axis Powers).</description>
