Here's a story of a guy who contracted PTSD while <a HREF="http://militarytimes.com/news/2009/09/military_PTSD_main_092109w/" rel="nofollow">working for the Army mortuary service</a>. Anything that causes fear or "extreme stress", to quote <a HREF="http://www.psychiatric-disorders.com/articles/ptsd/causes-and-history/stress-anxiety-and-ptsd.php" rel="nofollow">this article</a>. Speculating that Hasan's actions were due to PTSD is irresponsible at this point, but saying he couldn't have it is also wrong. Hasan's state of mind to have taken place before I decide who, or what, is to blame. By the time that happens, of course, some white woman will have gone missing, or some big explosion will have happened, and the TV news will have forgotten all about this.
