Right. She’s basically simply saying that being a psychiatrist for combat veterans is highly stressful by itself to one’s mental health. Which I don’t think is a particularly controversial notion (as long as it doesn’t overreach into the idea that a shrink can get PTSD by proxy from his PTSD-afflicted patients).

The PTSD theory was brought up by Kenniff to reject it, but neither McGraw nor Johnson suggested that it might be correct. They were just knocking down Kenniff’s other BS.

The full clip is even better as it shows just how quick the guy was using “He’s a Muslim” to point to the cause. Sadly this is the sort of guy that Hasan likely had to deal with for years…folks who blamed others religion for the violence.

I haven’t seen the whole segment either but it seemed that she was pushing back on the general notion that a Major just by the virtue of the fact that they are a Major couldn’t possibly be suffering from PTSD. Regardless she rode that guy’s ass out royally. I have to tell you that Cliff Van Zant on MSNBC made me want to kick my TV in several times last night and this morning. These Jag Offs have no clue and I am just glad CNN had someone on to bring attention to that fact.
