Like Homer Simpson after eating 64 slices of individually wrapped American cheese, I think I’m blind. You missed a ludicrous amount of GOP screaming about the International Criminal Court, including a red-faced Dan Burton shout at two officials who have absolutely nothing to do with the ICC. Bob Inglis started off in that crazy direction but then asked a great question about what an Afghan farmer can make by planting wheat instead of poppy. McChrystal clarified he still wants 400,000 Afghan soldiers and police but isn’t married to it. (If you’re concerned about the FM 3-24 guideline ratios for counterinsurgents-per-civilians, read that post.) Keith Ellison, who I expected — perhaps unfairly — to be against the war given how progressive he is, asked about the civilian-to-troop ratio. McChrystal made a point about the relationship between governance and terrorism that had the subtext “and that’s why we shouldn’t invade Somalia or Yemen.” And here are at least six questions that remain unanswered.
Much more. Wow. So that’s over. I count 47 substantive posts, four meta-posts including this one, one wrap piece, one Jay-Z-enabled remix post, and countless tweets.

That sounds like six good questions to me. I’m cautiously optimistic about Afghanistan, myself. Sen. James Inhofe is one classy guy, huh? I’m sorry you went blind, S. Can you get the Internet in Braille?
