It defies common sense that the threat assessment delivered by the intelligence community yesterday to Congress was not informed by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab’s cooperation with law enforcement. Just a hypothesis so far, as I don’t have hard evidence of such. A longer version of the supposition is here.

But let’s do like Company Flow and say Fuck The Bullshit. There’s a reason why the FBI director and the intelligence community’s chiefs testify together. It’s because these communities inform each other. They work with one another. And that’s the way it ought to be. Dear conservatives: law enforcement is nothing to deride or be afraid of. Take several deep breaths. Remember when you inveighed against the “wall” between the two communities during the Clinton administration? Don’t build it back up in your minds. Be like Youth of Today and break down the walls.
