Stuffed down in the expense reports for one of RNC sachem Michael Steele’s recent trips is almost two grand spent at a trendy West Hollywood club known for topless dancers simulating lesbian sex (and also just topless dancers simulating women with exposed breasts). The RNC notes that it wasn’t Steele but a staffer who stopped by the club. An RNC spokesman says Steele was never there, knew nothing about it, etc.
Probably isn’t a sign that Steele or his minions are changing their stance on GLBT rights though.

You know what? You’re right! Kudos to them. I honestly would have thought htey would have downplayed it. Way to go.
Dude, they’re explicit about their HuffPo aspirations. I wouldn’t assume that a story this juicy would get downplayed about anyone. (I also don’t know that they feel any particular loyalty to the RNC, and conservative movement establishment types don’t like Michael Steele any more than anyone else.)
Good point although I think you’re wrong on every publication taking this story. Drudge Report, for instance, might try and give it some liberal spin (as in spin against Democrats).
