I'm an Eagle Scout, and I'm hard-pressed to tell you what I took away from scouting. I can start a campfire properly, sure, but after that? Modern scouting hates gays and atheists, and as one of those two, I find it hard to believe that they represent moral paragon anymore, if they ever could claim to.
