Fun With Sanford Context

Having little time to spend on Mark Sanford, I’ve tried not to get mired in any of the details, but a bit of worktime procrastination led me to this Times piece from Tuesday and that, in turn, led to this wonderful quote that I found while skimming instead of reading:

“I was very careful,” he said. “Everything was paid for in cash.”

I urge you never to read that quote in the intended and clear context.
