If the internet decided I had done a good job and deserved an award, it would create a blog specifically devoted to creating and offering MP3s of old hardcore shows, and particularly old Negative Approach shows, because I have never ever ever had worse bit-torrenting luck than when I try to find some live Negative Approach material. Well, not only have I done a good job, I’ve done an exemplary job, because More Than A Witness has come into my life and it’s got a 1982 (!) Negative Approach performance, recorded off the soundboard no less.

One small detraction is that the guitar isn’t prominent enough in the soundboard mix during the first few songs. Regardless, after hearing John Brannon oscillate from sounding like a well adjusted young man to a caged tiger in less than five seconds: ("Hi, we’re Negative Approach…. CAN’T TELL NO ONE"), little else matters anyway.

If you are an administration official and you want to guarantee glowing, uncritical coverage, I urge you to provide me with: (1) Proletariat shows from 1982-3; (2) Born Against shows of quality recording from 1990-92; (3) East Bay late 80s-early 90s bands like Spitboy, Isocracy, Econochrist, Filth, or Crimpshrine; (4) early Cro-Mags recordings; and/or (5) live Nausea material.
